THE BEAST WILL RISE
We were due to open the world premiere of The Beast of Blue Yonder, a new play by Philip Ridley, at Southwark Playhouse, on April 2nd. Coronavirus shut us down.
But we promised you a Philip Ridley world premiere, so we're going to give you one. In fact, we're going to give you fourteen. Philip's written a series of monologues, to be performed by the cast of The Beast of Blue Yonder, and directed by our wonderful director Wiebke Green.
We're releasing one a week every Saturday at 7pm. Enjoy!
Can you donate?
When we postponed the show it was devastating. Not just because of all the hard work the cast and creative team put in, but because most of us have day jobs in the service industry, front of house, teaching acting, and other industries that were shut down by Coronavirus.
We know lots of people are broke right now. So we're putting the monologues up for free. But we're asking anyone who can afford it to donate £3 a month to our Patreon campaign.
The money will be shared equally between the actors and key creatives on our show and Anything is Possible, the show that was due to open the day before us in Southwark's studio space, as well as helping fund the future life of the show. We're all in it together, after all!
