Lucy Sheen
Lucy is an actor, published poet, playwright, filmmaker, activist and advocate.

Stage credits include: Canterbury Theatre, The Arts Theatre London,The Royal Exchange Manchester, Joint Stock Theatre Company, The Drill Hall, Library Theatre Manchester, Sheffield Crucible, Theatre Royal Bath, Brighton Theatre Royal, Westcliff Theatre, Glasgow Theatre Royal, Richmond Theatre, The New Diorama, The Orange Tree, Soho, The Park and The Bunker . Lucy has also been on the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama's writing mentor list since 2017. She has also guest lectured at Reading University, Edge Hill and Brunel.Lucy's writing commissions include Nimble Fish Arts, The Royal Court Theatre, Komola Collective and ArtsEd.
She describes herself as, "Over fifty, female, a transracial adoptee, of East Asian heritage.
"I has been writing professionally since 2010.
"I write about the things I see based on my experiences. Although British, I bring to the page stories and a way of seeing, that we don't usually get. I offer an authentic alternative British experience and view point. I’m interested in bring to the stage the unforgotten and ignored shared histories, the unvoiced and silenced.
"Whilst my writing is not always going to be about or around the themes of East Asia or East Asian characters it is of course who I am, therefore it will inform how and what I write about."
